LAB 18
During lab 18 we started creating a new html document in Dreamweaver. After this I began creating my heading using the <h>tags. I put my heading in a <div> tag and using css I designed it using colors, fonts, font-size, etc. The point of lab 18 was to create a calculator on the web using arithmetic operators as buttons such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. In the lab there had to be two input boxes; one for the first number and one for the second number. Then after this i created 4 buttons for the arithmetic operations. I gave each number in the box specific id's that were attached to them to make it easier to retrieve the number values. After this i moved onto creating the 4 buttons for my operations. Doing this i used the <button></button> tag to make it work. After that i gave each button a specific id to what it will do. Once this was done i began to move into Javascript and set up an onClick function for each one. I started it up with the <script></script> tag to start the JS. After this I created a function to add() which allowed to do the operation and continued that
throughout all 4 operations. For the function is was the variables x and y getting added. These skills are very important to a web designer because it allows the website to become more interactive with the user and can be used for many just operations. This helps us retrieve certain information from the user which is good for an online store or something.
